Pat is originally from Muncie Indiana, where she graduated from Central High School and Ball State University.

She previously worked as a reporter for The Muncie Star and served as director of the Delaware County CASA Program for 13 years.

She was active in the community and served on various boards over the years.

Pat moved to Texas this summer to be closer to family. Her oldest daughter and her family live in Deer Park. She has two brothers and a mother who also live in this area.
