End of the year message from our Executive Director

Dear Partner in Ministry,

Thank you for an amazing year and many opportunities to help homeless kids and their families.

Thanks to your support, 37 children and their families had a warm place to sleep and a hot meal to eat since we opened our doors last March. Moreover, their parents have a sense of dignity, and hope of a better future for themselves and their children. On behalf of all of them, thank you for making this happen.

Recently one of our graduates who had successfully moved into her own apartment lost her job only two weeks after her graduation. Ordinarily, this would have been a devastating situation. However, because of our postgraduate support initiative, she is receiving the support she needs until she can get to firmer ground. Through our Ride To Success program, she now has her own transportation with a payment that fits in her budget. She does not have to pay a high interest rate on an auto loan; instead her payment is based on her income and ability to pay. Every day your financial support helps make stories such as this a reality.
The working poor and middle class are struggling with the cost of living in the Bay Area. Compounding their problems, public transportation is not available in this area and affordable housing is… well, let’s just say, no longer affordable for many people. More and more families are sleeping in their cars, motels or on a friend’s couch. Homelessness is a real problem right here in our community

Today we begin our End of Year Campaign. The need has never been greater, and our desire is to expand our efforts to serve more children and their families by providing move-in assistance and, where needed personal transportation to graduating families. These two simple steps go a long way in empowering a family to change the trajectory of their lives.

We are dreaming BIG for this campaign, with a goal of raising $20,000 to support these efforts! We need YOU to make it happen. Please help us meet this goal with a special year-end donation. No amount is too small.

There are two easy ways to make your donation. Online at www.ccfamilypromise.org, or by mail. You can send your donation to:

Family Promise of Clear Creek
P. O. Box 2723
League City, TX 77578

Prefer monthly giving? That’s great too. Simply visit our website, indicate the monthly amount for your recurring donation and we’ll do the rest.

Thank you for partnering with us to make a real, lasting impact in the lives of so many families who need a “hand up” to return to self-sufficiency.

With gratitude,
